Investing in basic research supports fundamental advances in knowledge that benefit all Canadians.  

But we have not yet seen the level of federal support in basic research we need to get science right. Thousands of scientists and researchers in Canada are unable to pursue their discovery research because there is not enough funding. As noted by the Federal government’s Advisory Panel on Fundamental Science report of 2016, investing in basic research is one of the highest yield investments a government can make. 

This October 21, vote for research. Help us make ongoing and enhanced investments in research more of a priority for the federal government.
